What can be shuffled
- Lines: the order of the lines changes. Paste a list of names to draw a random order, or shuffle quiz questions.
- Words: the words within each line are mixed up.
- Letters in each word: every word is scrambled, which is fun for puzzles.
Click Shuffle again for a new order. The shuffle is a fair one (Fisher–Yates) driven by your browser's secure random number generator, so every order is practically equally likely.
To sort instead of shuffle, use sort text alphabetically. To pick random passwords or IDs, use the password generator or the UUID generator.

Is the randomize text free?
Yes. The randomize text is completely free, with no account, sign-up or usage limit.
Is my text stored?
No. Your text is processed in your browser and is not sent to a server or stored.
Is there a maximum length?
No, there is no fixed limit. Very long texts can just be a little slower.
