What is Base32?

Base32 uses only the capital letters A–Z and the digits 2–7. That alphabet has no lookalikes such as 0 and O, and it survives systems that ignore letter case, such as file names on some systems, DNS labels and the secret keys shown next to two-factor QR codes. Base32 text is about 60% larger than the original, more than Base64 (33%).

Padding

Standard Base32 ends with = characters so the length is a multiple of eight. Some uses leave them out; untick Pad with = to do the same.
