What is converted

  • Combining accents on Latin letters: é, è, ê, ë, á, ü, ñ, ç and so on.
  • Letters that have no accent but are written differently in plain ASCII: ø becomes o, æ becomes ae, œ becomes oe, ß becomes ss, ł becomes l, đ becomes d and þ becomes th.

Other scripts, such as Greek, Cyrillic or Japanese, keep their marks. The note under the result tells you how many letters were changed.

Options
