How it works
Text is first encoded as UTF-8, the standard on the web, and every byte is shown as eight binary digits. Plain letters and digits take one byte each: H is 01001000. Characters outside the basic alphabet take more: é is two bytes and an emoji such as 😀 is four. The note under the result shows the total number of bytes.
Choose whether the bytes are separated by a space (easier to read) or written together with no separator.
