What is a RAR file?
RAR is an archive format made by the authors of WinRAR. It often compresses better than ZIP, but Windows and macOS can't open it without extra software. This tool does it in your browser.
Opening a RAR file
Drop the RAR file in the box. You see every file with its folder and size; click a name to preview images and text. Download saves one file, Download all packs everything into a ZIP that any computer can open.
Password-protected RAR
If the archive is protected, the tool asks for the password. Without it, the files can't be opened, not even by us: everything runs on your own device.
Multi-part archives
RAR files split over several parts (.part1.rar, .part2.rar) can't be opened one part at a time. Use a desktop program for those.
