The two settings

  • Strength (0–100%) is how dark the corners become. 100% fades them to black.
  • Clear centre (0–90%) is how much of the middle stays untouched. A larger clear centre gives a subtler effect that only touches the corners.

Uses

Portraits, landscapes and product photos often look more focused with a light vignette: try 30–50% strength with a wide clear centre. Heavy vignettes give a vintage or dramatic feel, and pair well with the Vintage or Drama look in the photo filters. The vignette is centred on the image you upload, so crop first and add the vignette last.

Frequently asked questions

What vignette settings look natural?

A strength of 30–50% with a clear centre of 40% or more looks subtle. Raise the strength and shrink the clear centre for a dramatic look.

Will the quality suffer?

No. The download has the same resolution as your original, unless the tool changes the size itself. Save as PNG to keep every detail, or as JPG or WebP for a smaller file.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your image never leaves your device and is not stored.
