140%

0% is black and white, 100% is the original.

How it works

  1. Upload your image

Drop a file into the box or choose one on your device.

  2. Adjust the settings

The preview changes as you drag. Hold the compare button to see your original.

  3. Download the result

As PNG, JPG or WebP, at the same resolution as your original.

Step by step

100% is your original. Above 100% the colours become more intense, up to 200%. Below 100% they fade, and at 0% the image is black and white. The lightness of each pixel stays the same; only the strength of the colour changes.

Tips

  • A dull photo often comes to life at 120–150%. Push too far and skin turns orange and the sky turns neon.
  • Lower saturation, around 60–80%, gives a calm, modern look, and is good for backgrounds.
  • To change the colours themselves rather than their strength, use hue. For a full black and white conversion with more control, see black and white.

Frequently asked questions

What saturation should I use?

For a photo that looks flat, 120–150% is a good range. Above 170% colours often start to look unnatural.

Will the quality suffer?

No. The download has the same resolution as your original, unless the tool changes the size itself. Save as PNG to keep every detail, or as JPG or WebP for a smaller file.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your image never leaves your device and is not stored.
